Programmer, CALS Roberts Library, Little Rock, AR, 2019–present
Design, organize, and implement adult programming for Roberts Library Branch and CALS Writing Circle. Hosted in-person programs pre-COVID, continued hosting online via Zoom during COVID, continuing programs in-person and online via Zoom post-COVID. Maintain & engage online community. Compile monthly statistics. Create presentations on Canva, create videos for CALS YouTube, link resources on EOA page for students and teachers.
Editorial Assistant, Encyclopedia of Arkansas, CALS, Little Rock, AR, 2009–present
Send out author agreements, new author guidelines with FAQ, requests for contact information. Field any questions regarding format, time frame, word count, etc. Send first drafts through blind out-of-house review process with reviewer guidelines. Once queries are compiled, send draft to author with queries & guidelines. Send final proof to author for approval with invoice to elect payment or donation of services. Complete regular upload as needed of new materials to live website. Maintain correspondence with 100+ authors & reviewers. Daily use of Filemaker Pro. Track contact information for inquiries. Compile monthly statistics based on worldwide use of site. Other duties include: filing, post mail, data entry, reminders & extensions, checking online source links & data to keep current. Place biweekly supply orders for department as needed. Assist with recurring programs & events.
